Kitchen Krafts:
Dinner for Dad
Big Chocolate Chip Cookie
1/3 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Beat together margarine, sugar, egg, and vanilla.

In small bowl combine baking soda, salt, and flour. Gradually add flour mixture to batter and mix well.

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Spread batter to edges of greased 9″ (21 cm) round cake pan. Bake at 375° F (190° C) for 12–15 minutes.
Pizza Pockets
2 pita bread rounds
1 cup pizza sauce
grated parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Cut each pita bread round in half to make two pockets.

Spread 1/4 cup pizza sauce inside each pocket. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on sauce.

Stuff each pocket with 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.

Place pockets on baking sheet and bake at 400° F (205° C) for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
Fruit Canoes
1 cantaloupe
2 large bananas
12 grapes
toothpicks

Cut cantaloupe into six wedges.
-
Slice each banana into six chunks.
-
Spear grape with toothpick, then add banana chunk below it. Stick two of these “passengers” into each cantaloupe canoe.
