Bits
The ant is tiny, but it’s big
In wisdom, for it knows
That large things are made up of bits.
So all day long it goes
About each task with this in mind.
If it finds crusts of bread,
It doesn’t think, I can’t move this!
It takes one crumb, instead.
Then crumb by crumb it carries of
The bread until it’s gone.
Its eye fixed firmly on its goal,
The ant keeps going on.
Well, I am learning from the ant:
When big jobs come my way,
I break them up in bits and do
My best from day to day!
