“To Walk Where Jesus Did,” Friend, Apr. 1992, 22
To Walk Where Jesus Did
I may never walk through Galilee
Or teach on hillsides there,
Nor tell friends how to fish for men
As they pull in nets with care.
I may never walk Jerusalem’s streets,
Never suffer in Gethsemane,
Nor carry a cross to a broken hill
And die as friends weep for me.
But I can walk in the land where I live
And be kind to those I meet.
I can be an example, can lend a hand
And share all the beauty I see.
And when things get hard, when I’m lonely,
I’ll pray each morning and night
That I will walk in the paths Jesus would,
That I will choose the right.
