“There Was a Small Boy,” Friend, Sept. 1992, 27
There Was a Small Boy
There was a small boy
Who lived by a road.
He had a pet goat,
And he had a pet toad.
The goat sang quite well
In a quavery way,
But the toad was so small
He had little to say.
On special occasions
They’d sing and they’d hum.
“Blaaaaaah!” went the goat
While the frog sang “Ha-rumm!”
