“Marching,” Friend, June 1993, 20
Marching
We march,
We march
All through the house!
We march as quietly
As a mouse.
We march,
We march—
One, two, three, four.
We keep on marching
Out the door.
We march by the river,
We march by the road.
We march right past
A big green toad.
We march in the garden
And under the trees.
We march,
We march
Wherever we please.
We keep on marching
Up a hill.
We march!
We march!
We’re marching still.
Left foot,
Right foot,
We-march-all-day foot.
We march up high,
We march down low.
We march real fast,
Then march real slow.
Left foot,
Right foot,
We-march-all-together foot.
We march down the hill.
We march through the glen.
And then we march
Back home again.
