“Winter Wonderland,” Friend, Jan. 1996, 15
Winter Wonderland
My birdhouse wears a tall top hat
Of white marshmallow snow.
It’s trimmed with sparrows’ footprints
That are featherstitched to and fro.
And past the fence beside the woods
In winter snow, I find
Some deer and rabbit patterns
And partridge-wing designs.
And crystal lace is everywhere—
On bushes, stumps, and trees.
Our Father has created
Many sparkling tapestries.
