The Leader’s Son

Chapter 16

A boy was sick

A leader of the people had a very sick son. Everyone thought that the son would die. John 4:46–47

The father went to find Jesus

The leader left his son at home and traveled many miles to the city of Cana, where he found Jesus. John 4:46–47

He asked Jesus to heal his son

The leader asked the Savior to come and heal his son, who was very near death. Jesus told the leader to go home, that his son would be healed. Because he had faith in Jesus Christ, the leader went home. John 4:47–50

Jesus healed the boy

His servants came to meet him and told him that his son was getting better and would live. He asked them at what time his son began to get well. They told him. It was at the same time that Jesus had said that the son would be well. John 4:51–53

The family had more faith in Jesus

The leader knew that Jesus Christ had healed his son, and he and all his family had even more faith in the Savior. John 4:53
