“What Should I Wear?” Friend, Feb. 2007, 24–25, 27
What Should I Wear?
Would you go to a warm beach wearing snow boots? Would you get ready for your soccer game by putting on pajamas? Of course not! There are certain times when you would wear those clothes—like when you are building a snowman or going to bed.
Antonio and Ella are learning about the importance of modesty and what kind of clothing is appropriate to wear for different activities. As they think about all of the things they need to do, they remember to wear their best clothes when they go to church on Sunday. Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said: “When we go to worship in a temple or a church, we put aside our working clothes and dress ourselves in something better. This change of clothing is a mark of respect” (“The Language of Prayer,” Ensign, May 1993, 15).
Cut out the pictures of Ella and Antonio on page 27. Glue or place them in the correct settings on these pages. Help Antonio and Ella choose the right clothes for when they go to school, play sports, and do other activities. Don’t forget to save their best clothes for Sunday!
