“We Give Thanks,” Friend, Nov. 2008, 32
We Give Thanks
We give thanks for birds with wings,
(Flap arms)
For worms and snakes and squirmy things,
(Make a snaking motion with hand)
For puppy dogs with waggly tails,
(Move an index finger back and forth)
For tiny fish and great big whales,
(Measure a little fish with fingers, then extend arms for big whales)
For the families that we love,
(Place hand over heart)
For earth and sea and sky above,
(Form a circle with arms above head)
For clothes and shoes upon our feet,
(Point to your clothes, then shoes)
And for the food we soon will eat.
(Rub stomach with hand)
