So you want to be an architect like your dad?

Yeah. He really likes designing and building things.

OK—broom, tin cans, broken baseball bat …

It’s gonna take a lot of math. Not my strongest subject. But Dad says he wasn’t good at math at first, either.

So what did he do?

He says it’s like learning another language. You just keep practicing. And learning the rules. And after a while it starts to make sense. Just don’t give up.

I’ve gotta remember that.

Hmm. I designed it. I built it. Maybe I’m an architect and just didn’t know it.
