Naʻá ne fekumi ki he folofolá, ʻo lau e fakaafe ʻi he Sēmisi 1:5, pea hanga hake ki he ʻOtuá ki ha tokoni. Ko hono olá ko e meʻa-hā-mai ʻo hono Toe Fakafoki Mai e Ongoongoleleí. ʻOku ou houngaʻia ko e hoko ʻa e taʻefiemālie fakalangi ʻa Siosefá, ʻa e vahaʻataimi ʻo ʻene puputuʻú mo e taʻemanongá, ke tataki ai ia ki he ngāue faivelengá.

ʻOku tokoni e talanoa naʻá ku fanongo ai ʻi ha ngaahi taʻu kimuʻa atu ke u ʻiloʻi pea ngāue ki he ngaahi ueʻi ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní. Naʻe vahevahe eni ʻe Sisitā Poni Pākini, ko ha Palesiteni Lahi mālōlō ʻo e Fineʻofá:

“Ko ha fefine tuitui lelei ʻa … Sūsana. Naʻe ʻi [hono] uōtí ʻa Palesiteni [Sipenisā W.] Kimipolo.

ʻI heʻeku faʻa maʻu ha ueʻi he taimi ʻe niʻihi ke fai ha meʻa maʻá ha taha, ʻoku ou fifili pe ko ha ueʻi fakalaumālie ia pe ko ʻeku fakakaukaú pē ʻaʻaku. Ka ʻoku fakamanatu mai kiate au, “Ko ia ʻoku tupu mei he ʻOtuá ʻoku fakaafeʻi mo poupouʻi ke failelei maʻu ai pē; ko ia, ko e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku fakaafeʻi mo poupouʻi ke faileleí, mo ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá, pea tauhi kiate iá, ʻoku ueʻi hake ia ʻe he ʻOtuá.”10

ʻOku tatau aipē pe ko ha ueʻi fakahangatonu pe ngaahi ongo pē ke tokoni, ʻoku ʻikai teitei mole noa ha ngāue lelei; he “ʻoku ʻikai fakaʻaʻau ʻo ngata ʻa e ʻofá”11—pea ʻe ʻikai pē ke teitei hala ia.

ʻOku ʻikai faʻa hoko ia ʻi ha taimi lelei, pea ʻikai ke tau faʻa ʻilo e ola ʻo ʻetau ngaahi ngāue tokoni īkí. Kae mei he taimi ki he taimi, ʻoku tau fakatokangaʻi kuo tau hoko ko e ngaahi meʻangāue ʻi he toʻukupu ʻo e ʻOtuá pea te tau houngaʻia ʻi heʻetau ʻiloʻi ko e ngāue ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ʻiate kitautolú ko ha fakahaaʻi ia hono tali ʻe he ʻOtuá.

Ngaahi tokoua, te tau lava ʻo kolea e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ke fakahā mai “ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku totonu ke [tau] faí,”12 neongo kuo ngali fonu ʻetau lisi ʻo e ngaahi meʻa ke faí. ʻI he hoko mai ʻa e ueʻi fakalaumālié, te tau lava ʻo tuku e ʻū peleti ʻi he singí pe ko ha ʻīmeili ʻoku fonu ʻi he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku fie maʻu ki ai ʻetau tokangá kae lautohi ki ha fānau, ʻaʻahi ki ha kaungāmeʻa, tokangaʻi e fānau ʻa ha kaungāʻapi, pe ngāue ʻi he temipalé. ʻOua naʻa mou maʻuhala—ko ha tokotaha au ʻoku lisi ʻeku ngāué; pea ʻoku ou saiʻia hono fakaʻilongaʻi e meʻa kuo lavá. Ka ʻoku haʻu e melino ʻi hono ʻilo ko e hoko ʻo lelei angé, ʻoku ʻikai ʻuhinga ia ke fai ha meʻa lahi ange. ʻI hono tali e taʻefiemālié ʻaki e muimui ki he ngaahi ueʻi fakalaumālié, ʻokú ne liliu ʻeku fakakaukaú ki he “taimi ʻoʻokú” pea tau vakai ki he kakaí ʻo ʻikai ko ha fakahohaʻa, ka ko e taumuʻa ʻo ʻeku moʻuí.

ʻOku Tataki ʻe he Taʻefiemālie Fakalangí Kitautolu kia Kalaisi

ʻOku iku e taʻefiemālie fakalangí ki he loto-fakatōkilalo, kae ʻikai ko e fakaʻofaʻia pē ʻiate kita pe ko e loto-siʻi ʻoku haʻu mei hono fakafehoanaki kitautolu ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku tau tōnounou aí. ʻOku kehekehe ʻa e kakai fefine ʻo e fuakavá; honau ngaahi fāmilí, ʻenau ngaahi aʻusiá, pea kehekehe honau tūkungá.

Ko e moʻoni te tau tō nounou kotoa pē ʻi hotau tuʻunga malava fakalangí pea ʻoku ʻi ai ha moʻoni ʻi hono ʻilo ʻoku ʻikai feʻunga ʻetau tuʻu toko tahá. Ka ko e ongoongo lelei ʻo e kosipelí, ʻoku tau feʻunga ʻi he ʻaloʻofa ʻa e ʻOtuá. ʻI he tokoni ʻa Kalaisí, te tau lava ʻo fai ʻa e meʻa kotoa pē.13 ʻOku talaʻofa mai e folofolá te tau “maʻu e ʻaloʻofá … ke tokoni mai ʻi he ʻaho ʻe ʻaonga aí.”14

Ko e foʻi moʻoni fakaofó ko e lava ke hoko hotau ngaahi vaivaí ko ha tāpuaki ʻi heʻenau fakalotomaʻulaloʻi kitautolu mo fakatafoki kia Kalaisí.15 ʻOku hoko ʻo fakalangi e taʻefiemālié ʻi heʻetau hanga loto-fakatōkilalo hake kia Sīsū Kalaisi mo ʻetau fie maʻú, kae ʻikai taʻofi ia koeʻuhi ko e fakaʻofaʻia pē ʻiate kitautolú.

Ko hono moʻoní, ʻoku faʻa kamata e ngaahi mana ʻa Sīsuú ʻaki hono ʻiloʻi e fakaʻamú, fie maʻú, taʻemalavá, mo e taʻefeʻungá. Manatuʻi e ngaahi foʻi maá mo e iká? ʻOku talamai ʻe kinautolu ne nau tohi e Kosipelí takitaha ʻa hono fafangaʻi ʻi he mana ʻe Sīsū e lauiafe naʻa nau muimui kiate Iá.16 Ka naʻe kamata ʻa e talanoá ʻi hono ʻiloʻi ʻe he kau ākongá ʻa honau ngataʻangá; naʻa nau ʻilo ne nau maʻu pē “ʻa e foʻi mā paʻale ʻe nima, mo e ika siʻi ʻe ua: ka ko e hā ia ʻi he fuʻu tokolahí?”17 Ne moʻoni pē ʻa e kau ākongá: naʻe ʻikai feʻunga ʻenau meʻakaí, ka naʻa nau ʻave ʻa ia naʻa nau maʻú kia Sīsū pea naʻá Ne ʻomi e maná.

Kuó ke ongoʻi nai ʻoku fuʻu siʻisiʻi fau ho ngaahi talēnití mo e meʻafoakí ki he ngāue ʻoku hanganaki maí? Kuó u ongoʻi pehē. Ka te tau lava ʻo ʻave ʻa ia ʻoku tau maʻú kia Kalaisi, pea te Ne fakalahi ʻetau ngaahi ngāué. Ko e meʻa te ke foakí, ʻoku lahi ʻānoa ia—pea naʻa mo hoʻo ngaahi tōnounoú mo e vaivaiʻangá— ʻo kapau te ke falala ki he ʻaloʻofa ʻa e ʻOtuá.

Ko hono moʻoní ko kitautolu kotoa ʻoku tau mamaʻo ʻaki pē ha toʻu tangata ʻe taha mei he ʻOtuá—ko ha fānau ʻa e ʻOtuá.18 Pea hangē kuó Ne fai ki he kau palōfitá mo e kau tangata mo e fafine angamahení ʻi he ngaahi taʻu kuohilí, ʻoku pehē pē ʻa e taumuʻa ʻa e Tamai Hēvaní ke liliu kitautolú.

Naʻe fakamatalaʻi ʻe C.S. Liuisi e mālohi ke liliu ko ʻení ʻo peheni: “‘Fakakaukauloto angé ko ha fale koe ʻoku moʻui. ʻOku hāʻele mai ʻa e ʻOtuá ke toe langa e fale ko iá. Mahalo ʻe lava ke mahino kiate koe ʻi he kaataʻangá, ʻa e meʻa ʻokú Ne faí. ʻOkú Ne fakaleleiʻi ʻa e ʻū fakatafenga vaí pea taʻofi ʻa e mama ʻi he ʻató mo fai pehē atu: naʻá ke ʻiloʻi naʻe fie maʻu ke fai ʻa e ngāue ko iá pea ʻoku ʻikai te ke ʻohovale. Ka ʻoku kamata ke Ne fakahoko ha ngaahi liliu lahi ʻi he falé ʻi ha founga ʻoku matuʻaki fakamamahi . … [ʻOkú ke vakai] ʻokú Ne langa ʻe ia ha fale kehekehe ʻaupito mei he meʻa naʻá ke fakakaukau ki aí. … Naʻá ke fakakaukau [ʻokú ne] ngaohi koe ki ha kiʻi fale ʻakau fakaʻofoʻofa: ka ʻokú Ne langa ha palasi. ʻOkú Ne taumuʻa ke hāʻele mai ʻo ʻafio Tonu ai.”19

ʻE lava ke tau matatali e ngaahi ngāue ʻoku hanganaki maí koeʻuhi ko e feilaulau fakalelei ʻa hotau Fakamoʻuí. Kuo akoʻi ʻe he kau palōfitá, ʻi heʻetau fononga ʻi he hala fakaākongá, ʻe lava ʻo fakamāʻoniʻoniʻi kitautolu ʻi he ʻaloʻofa ʻa Kalaisí. ʻE lava ke ueʻi kitautolu ʻe he taʻefiemālie fakalangí ke tau ngāue ʻi he tui, muimui ki he fakaafe ʻa e Fakamoʻuí ke fai leleí, pea foaki loto-fakatōkilalo ʻetau moʻuí Maʻana. ʻI he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisí, ʻēmeni.
