Kwilifu kunye noKukhanya kweLanga, Nkosi, Hlala nam!
Ndiyangqina ukuba “kwilifu kunye nokukhanya kwelanga” iNkosi iya kuhlala nathi, ukuze “iimbandezelo zethu [zingaginywa] kuvuyo lukaKrestu.”
Enye yeengoma zethu esizithandayo ivakalisa isibongozo esithi “kwilifu kunye nokukhanya kwelanga, Nkosi, hlala nam!”1 Ndakhe ndabakwinqwelo–moya njengoko yayisondela kwisaqhwithi esikhulu. Ndijonge ngaphandle kwefestile, ndabona ingubo exineneyo yamafu ezantsi kwethu. Imitha yelanga xa itshona ibonakale emafini, iwenza ukuba akhanye ngokuqaqamba okukhulu. Kungekudala, inqwelo-moya yehla phakathi kwamafu anzima, saza ngequbuliso sagutyungelwa bubumnyama obukhulu obasimfamekisa ngokupheleleyo ekukhanyeni okungamandla esasikubonile kwimizuzwana nje engaphambili.2
Amafu amnyama asenokubumbeka ebomini bethu, anokusimfamekisa ekukhanyeni kukaThixo kwaye asenze sithandabuze ukuba oko kukhanya kusekhona na kuthi. Amanye aloo mafu kukudakumba, ukukhathazeka, kunye nezinye iintlobo zembandezelo yengqondo kunye neemvakalelo. Anokuyigqwetha indlela esizibona ngayo thina, nabanye, nkqu kwanoThixo. Achaphazela abantu basetyhini kunye namadoda bayo yonke iminyaka kuzo zonke iinkalo zehlabathi.
Ngokunjalo okwenzakalisayo lilifu lokuthandabuza elinokuchaphazela abanye abangakhange bafumane le mingeni. Njengalo naliphi na ilungu lomzimba, ingqondo ixhomekeke kwizigulo, kumothuko kunye nokungalingani kwamachiza. Xa iingqondo zethu zibandezeleka, kufanelekile ukufuna uncedo kuThixo, kwabo basingqongileyo, nakwiingcali zonyango kunye nezengqondo.
“Wonke umntu—indoda nomfazi—udalwe ngokomfanekiselo kaThixo. Omnye ngamnye uyintandane engunyana okanye eyintombi ngokwasemoyeni yabazali basezulwini, kwaye … umntu ngamnye unemvelo yobuThixo kunye nolwazelelo.”3 Njengabazali bethu baseZulwini noMsindisi wethu, sinomzimba wenyama4 kunye namava emizwa.5
Boodade bam abathandekayo, kuyinto eqhelekileyo ukuziva unosizi okanye ukhathazekile kanye ngexesha. Usizi kunye nokukhathazeka ziimvakalelo zomntu zendalo.6 Nangona kunjalo, ukuba sihlala sinosizi kwaye ukuba iintlungu zethu zithintela amandla ethu okuva uthando lukaBawo wethu waseZulwini kunye noNyana waKhe kunye nempembelelo yoMoya oyiNgcwele, emva koko sinokubandezeleka kudakumbo, nakunxunguphalo, okanye nakwenye imeko yeemvakalelo.
Intombi yam yakhe yabhala: “Kwakukho ixesha … [apho] ndandibuhlungu kakhulu ngalo lonke ixesha. Ndandihlala ndicinga ukuba usizi yinto oba neentloni ngayo, kwaye luphawu lobuthathaka. Ndaye ndagcina usizi lwam kum. … Ndaziva ndingento yanto kwaphela.”7
Umhlobo uyichaze ngale ndlela: “Ukususela ebuntwaneni bam, bendisoloko ndijamelana nedabi lokuziva ndingenathemba, ubumnyama, isizungu, noloyiko kwaye ndiziva ngathi ndonakele okanye ndinesiphene. Ndenze yonke into ukuyifihla intlungu yam kwaye ndingaze ndinike umbono wokuba andiyonto ngaphandle kokukhula kwaye ndomelele.”8
Bahlobo bam abathandekayo, inokwenzeka nakubani na wethu—ngakumbi xa, njengamakholwa kwicebo lolonwabo, sizibeka umthwalo ongengomsebenzi kuthi ngokucinga ukuba kufuneka sigqibelele ngoku. Iingcinga ezinjalo zinokuba nzima. Ukufezekisa ingqibelelo yinkqubo eya kwenzeka kubomi bethu basemhlabeni nangaphaya—nangobabalo lukaYesu Krestu kuphela.9
Ngokuchaseneyo, xa sizityand’ igila kwimingeni yethu yeemvakalelo, sivuma ukuba asifezekanga, sinika abanye imvume yokuba babelane nabo ngemizabalazo yabo. Sisonke siyaqonda ukuba likho ithemba kwaye akufuneki sive ubunzima sodwa.10
Njengabafundi bakaYesu Krestu, senze umnqophiso noThixo ukuba “sikulungele ukuthwalisana imithwalo” kwaye “silile nabo balililayo.”11 Oku kunokubandakanya ukwaziswa malunga nezigulo zokuvakalelwa, ukufumana izixhobo ezinokunceda ukujongana nale mizabalazo, kwaye ekugqibeleni ukuzizisa thina kunye nabanye kuKrestu, onguMphilisi oyiNtloko.12 Nokuba asazi ukuba sinxibelelana njani nezinto abanye abajamelana nazo, ukuqinisekisa ukuba intlungu yabo iyinyani inokuba linyathelo lokuqala lokufumana ukuqonda nokuphilisa.13
Ngamanye amaxesha, unobangela woxinzelelo okanye unxunguphalo unokuchongwa, ngelixa ngamanye amaxesha kunokuba nzima ukuqonda.14 Iingqondo zethu zisenokubandezeleka ngenxa yoxinzelelo15 okanye ukudinwa okumangalisayo,16 ezinokuthi ngamanye amaxesha ziphuculwe ngokulungiswa kwindlela otya ngayo, nolala ngayo kunye nozilolonga ngayo. Ngamanye amaxesha, unyango okanye amayeza phantsi kwesikhokelo seengcali eziqeqeshiweyo zisenokufuneka.
Ukunganyangwa kwengqondo okanye ukugula ngokwemvakalelo kunokukhokelela ekwandeni kokuzahlula, ukungaqondani, ubudlelwane obuqhekekileyo, ukuzenzakalisa, kunye nokuzibulala. Ndiyayazi le nto, njengoko notata wam wasweleka ngokuzibulala kwiminyaka emininzi eyadlulayo. Ukubhubha kwakhe kwakothusa kwaye kwabangela iintlungu kusapho lwam kunye nam. Kubalulekile ukuqaphela ukuba ukudakumba akusosiphumo sobuthathaka, kwaye ayisosiphumo sesono.19 Kukhula “emfihlakalweni kodwa iyancipha kuvelwano.”20 Sisonke, sinako ukugqobhoza kumafu okuzahlula kunye nokubekwa ibala ukuze umthwalo weentloni uphakanyiswe kwaye imimangaliso yokuphiliswa ibenokwenzeka.
Ngexesha lobulungiseleli baKhe basemhlabeni, uYesu Krestu waphilisa abagulayo nabaxhwalekileyo, kodwa umntu ngamnye kwafuneka asebenzise ukholo kuYe kwaye enze into yokufumana ukuphiliswa kwaKhe. Abanye bahamba imigama emide, abanye belula izandla zabo ukuze bachukumise ingubo yaKhe, kwaye abanye kwakufuneka basiwe kuYe ukuze baphiliswe.21 Xa kuziwa ekuphilisweni, ingaba asimdingi Yena na ngokungazenzisiyo? “Asingabangqibi sonke na?”22
Masilandeleni indlela yoMsindisi kwaye sonyuse imfesane yethu, sinciphise ukutyekela kwethu ekugwebeni, siyeke ukuba ngabahloli bomoya wabanye. Ukumamela ngothando sesinye sezona zipho zinkulu esinokunikela ngazo, kwaye singakwazi ukunceda ukuthwala okanye ukuphakamisa amafu anzima awafuthamisela abo sibathandayo nabahlobo23 ukuze, ngothando lwethu, baphinde bave uMoya oyiNgcwele kwaye baqonde ukukhanya okuphuma kuYesu Krestu.
Ukuba uhlala ujikelezwe “yinkungu yobumnyama,”24 jika uye kuBawo waseZulwini. Akukho nto ekhe yenzeka kuwe enokutshintsha inyani engunaphakade yokuba ungumntwana waKhe kwaye Yena uyakuthanda.25 Khumbula ukuba uKrestu nguMsindisi noMhlawuleli wakho, kwaye uThixo unguYihlo. Bayaqonda. Yiba nomfanekiso waBo bekufutshane nawe, bemamele kwaye benika inkxaso.26 “[Baya] kukuthuthuzela kwiimbandezelo zakho.”27 Yenza konke onako, kwaye uthembele kubabalo oluhlawulelayo lweNkosi.
Imizabalazo yakho ayikuchazi, kodwa inako ukucokisisa wena.28 Ngenxa “yoviko enyameni,”29 unokwazi ukuba novelwano ngakumbi kwabanye. Njengoko ukhokelwa nguMoya oyiNgcwele, yabelana ngebali lakho ukuze “uncede ababuthathaka, uphakamise izandla eziwileyo, uze womeleze amadolo ahexayo.”30
Kwabo bethu ngoku basokola okanye baxhasa umntu osokolayo, masizimisele ukulandela imiyalelo kaThixo ukuze sibenokusoloko sinawo uMoya waKhe ukunye nathi.31 Masenze “izinto ezincinane nezingenamsebenzi”32 oko kuya kusinika amandla okomoya. Njengoko uMongameli Russell M. Nelson watsho, “Akukho nto ivula amazulu ngokufana nokudityaniswa kobunyulu obunyukayo, ukuthobela ngokuthe ngqo, ukufuna ngokunyanisekileyo, ukuzondla imihla ngemihla ngamazwi kaKrestu kwiNcwadi kaMormoni, kunye nexesha omane uzibophelela kwimisebenzi yasetempileni nakwimbali yosapho.”33
Masikhumbule sonke ukuba uMsindisi wethu, uYesu Krestu, “[uthabathele] kuye ubuthathaka [bethu], ukuze izibilini zakhe zizaliswe yimfesane, ngokwasenyameni, ukuze azi … nendlela yokusinceda [thina] ngokobuthathaka [bethu].”34 Weza “ukuza kubopha abantliziyo zaphukileyo, … ukuthuthuzela bonke abanesijwili; … ukubanika isihombo esikhundleni sothuthu, ioli yemihlali esikhundleni sesijwili, ingubo yendumiso esikhundleni somoya odambayo.”35
Ndiyangqina kuwe ukuba “kwilifu kunye nokukhanya kwelanga” iNkosi iya kuhlala nathi, “iimbandezelo zethu [zingaginywa] kuvuyo lukaKrestu,”36 kwaye “kungobabalo ukuba sisindiswe, emva kwako konke esinokuthi sikwenze.”37 Ndiyangqina ukuba uYesu Krestu uya kubuyela emhlabeni “enokuphilisa emaphikweni akhe.”38 Ekugqibeleni, Yena uya “kuzisula zonke iinyembezi emehlweni [ethu]; kwaye akusayi kubakho … sijwili.”39 Kubo bonke abaya “kuza kuKrestu, bagqibelele kuye,”40 “aliyi kuba satshona ilanga; … kuba iNkosi iya kuba sisikhanyiso esingunaphakade [kuthi], zizaliseke iimini zesijwili [sethu].”41 Egameni likaYesu Krestu, amen.
