Our Leaders Speak

April is a very special month for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Easter is in April this year. This is an important time when we should remember the life of the Savior and his resurrection from the dead.

It was on April 6, 1830, that the Church was organized by the Prophet Joseph Smith. To remember that event, the Church holds its annual general conference on the first Sunday in April each year. This year’s conference will be on March 31 and April 1. Many Saints from around the world will travel to Salt Lake City to listen to our church leaders. Others will be able to listen to them speak over radio or television. And still many others can read their talks when they are printed in the Church magazines.

On these pages are pictures of the prophet, his counselors, and members of the Quorum of the Twelve. They will be speaking to members of the Church during this April conference. See if you can learn who they are so you will recognize their pictures. Try to remember some of the important things they will tell us during general conference.
