Prophets.LDS.org Features New Biographies of Living Apostles

New biographies of members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles began being published in February on prophets.lds.org, under the section titled “Meet today’s prophets and apostles.” Biographies of the members of the First Presidency have been available on the site since October 2011. The biographies will be translated into multiple languages throughout the year as resources permit. Most of the information was previously published in the Liahona in various languages.

“Learning about their childhood, student years, family life, and careers prior to their calls to the apostleship will help us see the hand of the Lord in their lives and will serve as another witness of how He calls and magnifies ordinary men and women to serve in the kingdom,” said Elder Paul B. Pieper of the Seventy. The biographies will include information and stories of each leader’s life, but most of all, they will show how the Lord prepared them to serve.
