Book of Mormon Videos

Lesson 59: Mosiah 12:18–14:12

Prayerfully consider how the Book of Mormon Videos might help your students identify, understand, feel the truth and importance of, and apply the doctrine and principles taught in the Book of Mormon. Each suggested video is a short segment within an entire episode. Use the start and stop timecode to show each clip within the episode.

Using This Video

You could show this video segment when you arrive at the part of the lesson that states:

“Display the picture Abinadi before King Noah (Gospel Art Book [2009], no. 75; see also Gospel Media Library [ChurchofJesusChrist.org]). Ask students to describe what is happening in the picture. (The king has ordered that Abinadi be killed. The Lord is protecting Abinadi.) To help students understand this account, consider having three students stand and perform a dramatic reading. One student will act as narrator. A second student will read the words of King Noah. The third student will read the words of Abinadi.”

Instead of performing a dramatic reading, invite students to watch the video, looking for what Abinadi taught Noah and the wicked priests. Then proceed with the lesson as outlined in the teacher material where it states:

“Direct students’ attention to Mosiah 13:11.”
