我們在經文中讀到一位名叫路得的女人，她遇到了許多挑戰。她的丈夫死了，她沒有孩子。她的婆婆拿俄米計劃回到她的國家，並告訴路得留下來，但路得回答說：

「你往哪裡去，我也往那裡去；你在哪裡住宿，我也在那裡住宿；你的國就是我的國，你的神就是我的神。……拿俄米見路得定意要跟隨自己去」（路得記1：16，18）。

路得既堅定又忠誠，她選擇與拿俄米在一起，住在遠離她家鄉和文化的異地；她也選擇忠於她的新宗教。路得和拿俄米遇到很多困難，她們很貧窮，難以有足夠的食物吃。路得憑著對神的信賴繼續向前邁進，並且照顧拿俄米。神看見她的掙扎，並祝福她的付出。一段時間後，路得再次結婚，有了孩子，還有足夠的食物供養她的家人。你可以像路得一樣信賴神。即使遇到困難，你也可以憑信心努力前進。
