Introduction to New Testament Seminary Student Manual

Introduction to New Testament Seminary Student Manual

The Objective of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion is “to help youth and young adults understand and rely on the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven” (Gospel Teaching and Learning: A Handbook for Teachers and Leaders in Seminaries and Institutes of Religion [2012], x, ChurchofJesusChrist.org).

The lessons in this manual are designed to help you achieve this objective as you study the New Testament. This manual contains 255 lessons. (You will not need to complete all of these lessons.) Most of these lessons are aligned with the Come, Follow Me scripture block that individuals and families will be studying. Other lessons are associated with doctrinal mastery. Your teacher will help you know which lessons to complete at home and which ones you will do together as a class.

The work for each lesson includes reading and writing assignments. Writing assignments are indicated with this icon: Writing on a piece of paper with a pen or pencil.

Carefully consider your answers before writing them. This will help you have more meaningful experiences as you learn and apply truths from the scriptures. Pray before you begin your lessons, and seek guidance and direction from the Holy Ghost to help you in your study. Find opportunities to share what you are learning with others, including your family.
