Overview

As part of His Atonement, Jesus Christ went to the Garden of Gethsemane and experienced incomprehensible suffering while taking upon Himself the sins and afflictions of all humankind. He was then betrayed, arrested, and brought before the Sanhedrin (the Jewish court of law), where He was falsely accused, mocked, and beaten.
