Ruth and Naomi

Naomi and her family came to a new land because of a famine. They met a young woman named Ruth. Ruth married Naomi’s son.

Then Ruth’s husband died. Ruth was very sad.

Naomi was also very sad. She had no family left to take care of her. She decided to go back to the land she came from.

Naomi told Ruth to go back to her family. But Ruth loved Naomi. She promised to come with Naomi and take care of her.

Ruth and Naomi were poor. So Ruth worked hard to find food for them.

One day a man named Boaz saw Ruth gathering leftover grain in one of his fields.

Boaz was kind. He told his workers to leave extra food for Ruth.

Later Ruth and Boaz got married. They had a baby boy. Naomi helped take care of him.

I can help take care of others. I can be kind to those in need.
