Called to Serve
On Saturday, April 6, 1991, during the first session of the 161st Annual General Conference, six members were added to the Second Quorum of the Seventy. In addition, five members of the Second Quorum of the Seventy had a change of assignment and were sustained to the First Quorum of the Seventy. They were Elder Monte J. Brough, Elder Harold G. Hillam, Elder L. Lionel Kendrick, Elder Alexander B. Morrison, and Elder L. Aldin Porter.
New Members of the Second Quorum of Seventy
Elder Julio E. Dávila, 59, of Bogotá, Colombia, a Church Education System administrator in South America. He and his wife, Mary Zapata, have two daughters.
Elder Graham W. Doxey, 64, of Salt Lake City, Utah, a real estate manager. He and his wife, Mary Lou Young, have 12 children.
Elder Cree-L Kofford, 57, of Arcadia, California, a lawyer presently serving as mission president in the New York New York Mission. He and his wife, Ila Macdonald, have five children.
Elder Joseph C. Muren, of Solihull, England, 55, a director for temporal affairs for the Church in the British Isles. He and his wife, Gladys Smith, are the parents of six children.
Elder Dennis B. Neuenschwander, 54, of Centerville, Utah, a manager in the Family History Department presently serving as mission president in the Austria Vienna East Mission. He and his wife, LeAnn Clement, are the parents of four sons.
Elder Jorge A. Rojas, 50, of Chihuahua, Mexico, owner of a translation firm. He and his wife, Marcela Burgos, have five children.
