A New Journal
It sits there on my desk
Like one big question mark,
Like the unmarked answer sheet to the SAT test
Waiting to be filled in.
I flip through the empty pages of my future.
Wondering what they will hold.
The pages are stiff,
Untouched and unrevealing.
But one by one the blank white
Faces will turn to me and I will
Give them the answers I have found.
