“Walking in His Father’s Footsteps,” New Era, Aug. 1995, 10–11 Walking in His Father’s Footsteps Words and music by Margo Faraoni First-Place Song 1. From the day he came to earth, throughout his journey as a man, Jesus taught through his example how to live his Father’s plan. Doing nothing of himself but what he saw his Father do, lifting up each weary wanderer till his life on earth was through. Walking in his Father’s footsteps Christ showed us God’s chosen way. Constantly he sought the Father’s will to guide him through each day. Willingly he served his children while he taught that men are not alone. If I follow his example Christ will lead me safely home. 2. In this world so full of sin, plagued with sorrow and despair, there are many lost souls searching, not knowing Heav’nly Father’s there. With the knowledge we’ve been giv’n how can we stand idly by? I will share my joy with others. I will calm my neighbor’s cry. Walking in my Father’s footsteps I will follow God’s own way. Constantly I’ll seek my Father’s will to guide me through each day. Willingly I’ll serve God’s children, let them know that they are not alone. If we follow Christ’s example we can find our way back home. Copyright © 1995 by Margo Faraoni. All rights reserved. This song may be copied for incidental, noncommercial church or home use.
