“Somewhere There’s Somebody Waiting,” New Era, Sept. 1998, 10–11 Somewhere There’s Somebody Waiting Words and music by Margo Faraoni Edgeworth First-Place Song Somewhere there’s somebody waiting for someone exactly like me. They are hoping and praying, anticipating a love that lasts eternally. And somewhere there’s someone who’s trying to do what the Savior would do. They are searching and reading and humbly they’re pleading that I will remain pure and true. So today I will start preparing myself to be married in the house of the Lord. I will seek the Lord’s guidance in all that I do and follow his holy word. Though the world sometimes seems so hard to bear and the temple seems so far away, I know I’ll be worthy to enter its doors for I’m preparing to go there today. Somewhere there’s somebody waiting for someone exactly like you. They know you’ll be faced with temptations and trials but hope somehow you’ll make it through. And somewhere there’s someone who’s dreaming of how wonderful that day will be When two become one in the Lord’s holy temple to be sealed for eternity. So today let us start preparing ourselves to be married in the house of the Lord. Let us seek the Lord’s guidance in all that we do and follow his holy word. Though the world sometimes seems so hard to bear and the temple seems so far away, we all can be worthy to enter its doors if we prepare to go there today.
