I catcher

I would like to tell you how much I appreciate this magazine. I had a subscription to it as a teenager, but I thought I had outgrown it so I no longer subscribed. But my roommate does, and I picked up the September 1998 issue because the article “Out of Power” caught my eye. After reading the article, I realized this is exactly how I feel and have felt at different times in my life. We all need to remember to keep the spiritual charge to be a whole person. Thank you for all you do.

Helped her

I would like to thank you for the special issue you did on friendship (June 1998). I don’t know if you helped anyone else, but you helped me. The day I came home from school thinking I didn’t have any friends was the day I received that issue of the New Era. Thank you again. I love getting your awesome magazine.

Praying for help

I would like to thank you for publishing the June 1998 special issue. I am the only LDS person in my group, and I was slowly being pushed out of relationships. I hurt, so I finally got down on my knees and prayed for help. Right after school that day, the special issue on friendship was on my dad’s desk, and the stories seemed to be directed at me.

Family feelings

I was baptized last year and I’m so happy whenever I read the New Era. I would like to thank you so much for your efforts. I read the article “4:00 A.M. Ice Cream” (Aug. 1998), and it made me feel sweetly about my father. I thought about my lovely family, so after I read that article I made up my mind that I would tell my father I love him. Thank you for publishing the article.

So much more

I just finished reading the May 1998 New Era. I’ve been a member of the Church for just a little more than a year now. My life has been so much more joyful since I found the Church. I’ve had more trials recently than I ever have had before, but I know the gospel has helped me through them all. I’ve been getting the New Era for a couple of months now, and I absolutely love it. I want to thank you for such a wonderful aid to so many youth.

Neat story

I’d really like to thank you for your August 1998 story “I Was Her Answer.” It was such a neat story that really helped me realize how many times we ignore the Spirit. I know I’ll be more aware of others’ needs now.
