“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God” (Mosiah 2:17).

He was extremely humble and worked alongside his people and always tried to serve them.

As king, he led the Nephites through a great war against the Lamanites and established peace among his people.

About 124 years before Christ’s birth. King Benjamin told his people that the mother of Christ would be named Mary (see Mosiah 3:8).

So many people came to hear him teach that he used a tower so more of them could hear.
