There’s a lot we can learn from Eve!
You remember Eve, right? Mankind’s mother? Adam’s wife? She was pretty amazing!
As you know, Adam and Eve were the first people on earth.. Here are some important parts of their story:
- They were put in the Garden of Eden, where they had an innocent and sweet life but not much opportunity to learn or progress.
- Then Eve made a courageous decision. She ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, thus accepting a mortal life full of challenges—but also full of growth.
- After leaving the garden, Eve and Adam started a family. They prayed, offered sacrifices to God, and learned more about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
- Even though mortal life was hard, Eve was faithful. She said, “Were it not for our transgression we never should have had seed, and never should have known good and evil, and the joy of our redemption, and the eternal life which God giveth unto all the obedient” (Moses 5:11).
We owe Eve a lot. Without her willingness to move forward and face mortality, we wouldn’t be here!
