Recognizing Satan’s Lies

The devil lies to you.

Don’t fall for it!

Yesterday we talked about how Satan tempts us, right? Well, on top of that, he lies.

In fact, that’s the one thing you can count on when it comes to the devil. While the Spirit always confirms what is true, the devil always lies—or at least twists the truth. He loves mixing in bits of truth so his lies are even more confusing!

Some of his favorite falsehoods include “you’re not good enough,” “you’re not worth it,” “you’ve sinned too much,” and so forth. When those lies pop up, replace them with true statements like these:

  • I am a child of heavenly parents, a king or queen in the making!
  • It’s never too late to change for the better.
  • I am worth love, now and forever.

The more you learn and reinforce truth in your life, the easier it will be to recognize and ignore what Satan has to say.

Eternal Truths

List scriptures or quotes about truths that contradict Satan’s lies. Bonus points for hanging them up somewhere you’ll see them often!
