And find a friendly face!

Alma encourages us to receive the image of Christ in our “countenances” (Alma 5:14).

Does that mean we’re supposed to look more like Jesus? Kind of yes, but kind of no.

We don’t need to look like Him physically. That would be pretty weird for most of us. But we are expected to try and be like Him spiritually, so that His Spirit and love radiates from us.

For an activity, try drawing the faces of your family members!

  • Give everyone a paper, pencil, and eraser.
  • Divide everyone into pairs, sitting to face each other.
  • Decide an amount of time to spend drawing.
  • Afterward have everyone show their drawings.

This isn’t an art competition! Don’t focus so much on who drew the best picture, but talk more about what you all noticed and felt while you were drawing.

What can you do as a family to invite the image of Christ into your countenances this week?

Compare with Your Ancestors

Visit FamilySearch.org and go to “Activities.” Then select “Compare-a-Face” to see if you look like any ancestors!
