Looking for an activity idea this week?
Take a look at this fun “secret mission” activity, inspired by President Russell M. Nelson’s call to the youth:
“My dear extraordinary youth, you were sent to earth at this precise time, the most crucial time in the history of the world, to help gather Israel. There is nothing happening on this earth right now that is more important than that. There is nothing of greater consequence. Absolutely nothing.
“This gathering should mean everything to you. This is the mission for which you were sent to earth.
“So my question to you is ‘Are you willing to enlist in the youth battalion of the Lord to help gather Israel?’”
Give the young women in your class a classified “secret mission” invitation!
What is their mission?
To have a missionary experience!
Talk about all the DIFFERENT ways to be a missionary:
- Invite a friend to a youth activity.
- Send an uplifting text or note to a friend.
- Share an uplifting message on social media.
- Write your testimony in a copy of the Book of Mormon and give it to someone!
- Reach out to a friend who hasn’t been to an activity or to church meetings lately.
- Look for opportunities to share what you believe.
- Pray daily for a missionary opportunity!
Choose one way you can share the gospel and complete your “secret mission,” and then plan a time for everyone to report back!
