See page 34 for a special article on this topic. Inside front cover: Abraham on the Plains of Mamre, by Grant Romney Clawson. Based on an original by Harry Anderson. Located in the north visitors’ center on Temple Square. Inside back cover: Iceskaters, by Dan Weggeland, 22″ by 33″, oil on canvas, 1861. Located in the Church Historical Department. This painting, previously reproduced on the inside back cover of the December 1975 Ensign, has recently undergone restoration. As the surface was cleaned, it was discovered that the work had been considerably altered through overpainting—which was probably an attempt to cover a damaged area. This painting is now restored to its original state.
