“Remember When?” Ensign, July 1986, 65
Remember When?
We’ve started a family tradition that I think proves a great help in our record keeping. Posted by my genealogy table is the “Remember When” sheet. Whenever something worth recording happens, we write the date and the occurrence in the form of a question. For example:
September 5, 1984. Remember when Sienna hung upside down on the swingset rings for the first time and said, ‘I just learned!’?
September 30, 1984. Remember when Seth looked in the car mirror and said, ‘I am getting freckles!’?
At the end of the year, I copy all the “Remember Whens” for that year and file them in our family “Remember Whens” folder. We have found that it is fun to read them together, and copies can be made so that the children can continue the tradition in their own families. Leilani Hobgood Brandon, Salida, Colorado
