Miniature Christmas Tree

Important: Make two weeks before it’s to be given.

To make this gift, you will need: pinecone; small, shallow, disposable bowl; grass seed; and scissors.

1. Ask older person to cut off stem of cone so that it will stand.

2. Soak cone in water for half an hour.

3. Sprinkle seeds evenly over cone, then stand it in bowl.

4. Fill bowl with 1/2″ (1.3 cm) water; set in sunny window.

5. Watch carefully, and replace water as needed.

6. Cut grass to tree shape.
