“Nativity Scene,” Friend, Dec. 1993, inside front cover
Nativity Scene
Baby in the manger—
Was He at all
Like us when we were
Very small?
Baby in the manger,
Asleep so sweet—
Two eyes like ours,
Two hands, two feet.
Did He cry at night,
Or need His mother?
Baby in the manger—
He is like no other.
Baby in the manger
Grew to teach us all.
I learn from Him,
Even though I’m small.
I make mistakes;
He never has, never will.
Baby in the manger
Loves me still.
