“Prince of Light,” Friend, Dec. 1996, inside front cover
Prince of Light
The stillness was a heavy cloak
That covered all the earth.
The star, a torch that lit the way
To the hallowed place of birth.
The Babe was in the manger;
His mother watched nearby.
Countless were the angels
Watching from the sky.
On earth, perhaps not many
Felt the joy that night,
But those above were filled with love
For the newborn Prince of Light.
