Samuel the Lamanite was a prophet. He went to Zarahemla and told the wicked Nephites to repent. The Nephites made Samuel the Lamanite leave. Samuel the Lamanite started to walk back to his own land. The Lord told Samuel the Lamanite to return to Zarahemla and say the things the Lord would put into his heart. The Nephites would not let Samuel the Lamanite into Zarahemla. Samuel the Lamanite climbed to the top of the city wall. Samuel the Lamanite told the Nephites they needed to repent and that Jesus would be born in five years. Samuel the Lamanite said a new star would appear when Jesus was born. Samuel the Lamanite told the Nephites that after Jesus died, the sun, moon, and stars would not shine for three days. Some Nephites believed Samuel the Lamanite. Other Nephites did not believe Samuel the Lamanite. Those who did not believe threw rocks and shot arrows at Samuel the Lamanite, but the rocks and arrows did not hit him. Samuel the Lamanite came down from the wall and went back to his own land.
