Loving the Temple
Adapted from “A Home Where the Spirit of the Lord Dwells,” Ensign or Liahona, May 2019, 22–25.
The temple helps us learn to love heavenly places. This is especially true when children are young. Children can feel that the temple is sacred.
When he was a boy, President Ezra Taft Benson knew the temple was important. He watched his mother carefully iron her temple clothing. He watched his family as they left his home to attend the temple.
When he was the prophet, he went to the temple each week. He always did temple work for an ancestor.
You too can learn to love the temple now. Some of you have pictures of temples in your homes. Many of you can visit temple grounds. Some may even be able to attend open houses when temples are built.
Because of the temple, we have the hope that we can live with our families forever.
