“Pea ʻi hoʻo akoʻi hoʻo kau faifekaú ke tukutaha ʻenau tokangá ʻiate kimautolú, akoʻi kinautolu ke ʻoua te nau muimui he niʻihi ʻoku pehē ʻoku nau ʻilo lahi ange ki hono fai e ngaahi ngāue ʻa e Siasí … ʻo laka ia ʻi he meʻa ʻoku fai ʻe he Tamai Hēvaní mo e ʻEiki ko Sīsū Kalaisí” ʻo fakafou ʻi he kau taki lakanga fakataulaʻeiki ʻoku nau maʻu e kī ke tokangaʻí.

“Kuó u ʻilo ʻi heʻeku ngāué ko kinautolu kuo hē pea puputuʻú ko kinautolu ia ʻoku faʻa … ngalo maʻu pē ko e taimi ʻoku lea ai ʻa e Kau Palesitenisī ʻUluakí mo e Kōlomu ʻo e Kau ʻAposetolo ʻe Toko Hongofulu Mā Uá ʻi ha leʻo ʻe tahá, ko e leʻo ia ʻo e ʻEikí ʻi he taimi ko iá. ʻOku fakamanatu mai ʻe he ʻEikí, ‘Neongo pē ko e fai ia ʻi hoku leʻo pē ʻoʻokú pe ʻi he leʻo ʻo ʻeku kau tamaioʻeikí, ʻoku tatau ai pē’ [T&F 1:38].”5

ʻI hono toe fakalea ʻe tahá, ne nau liʻaki e Vaka Motuʻa ko Saioné—ne nau hinga; ne nau hē mei he moʻoní.

Kuo akoʻi ʻetau kau taki fakalotofonua ʻi he Siasí, hangē ko e kau fakahinohino taukei ʻo e vaitafé ʻe he ngaahi aʻusia ʻo e moʻuí; kuo akoʻi pea fakahinohino ʻe he kau ʻaposetolo, kau palōfita mo e kau ʻōfisa kehe ʻo e Siasí; pea ko e meʻa mahuʻinga tahá, kuo akoʻi tonu ʻe he ʻEikí.

ʻI ha taimi ʻe taha ʻi he taʻú ni, ne u lea ki he kakai lalahi ʻo e Siasí ʻi he fakamafola e fakataha lotu ʻa e CES ʻi Meé. Ne u pehē:

“Kuó u fanongo ai ʻoku pehē ʻe ha niʻihi ʻoku nofo pē kau taki ʻo e Siasí ʻi honau kiʻi “tāputa.” Ngalo ia ʻiate kinautolu ko ha kau tangata mo ha kau fafine taukei kimautolu pea kuo mau moʻui ʻi ha ngaahi feituʻu kehekehe mo ngāue fakataha mo ha kakai tokolahi mei ha ngaahi puipuituʻa kehekehe. ʻOku ʻave kimautolu ʻe homau fatongia faka-Siasi lolotongá ki he tapa kotoa pē ʻo e kolopé ʻo mau feʻiloaki ai mo e kau taki fakapolitikale, fakalotu, pisinisi kaeʻumaʻā e kau taki he tokoni ʻofa fakaetangata ʻo e māmaní. Neongo kuo mau ʻaʻahi ki he White House ʻi Uāsingatoni, D.C. pea mo e kau taki ʻo e ngaahi puleʻangá ʻi he funga ʻo e māmaní, ka kuo mau ʻaʻahi foki ki he ngaahi ʻapi fakatōkilalo taha ʻo e māmaní, ʻo feʻiloaki mo tokoni ai ki he masivá. …

“ʻI he taimi te mou fakakaukauʻi lelei ai ʻemau moʻuí mo e ngāué, mahalo te mou tui ʻoku mau sio mo aʻusia ha ngaahi meʻa he māmaní ʻoku tokosiʻi ha niʻihi te nau aʻusia. Te mou fakatokangaʻi ai ʻoku ʻikai ke mau nofo pē ʻi hamau kiʻi “tāputa.” …

“… ʻOku ʻi ai ha meʻa fekauʻaki mo e tokotaha fakafoʻituituí pea mo hono fakatahaʻi e poto ʻo e Kau Taki [ʻo e Siasí] ʻoku totonu ke hoko ko ha fakafiemālie kiate kimoutolu. Kuo mau aʻusia e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē, ʻo kau ai ʻa e nunuʻa ʻo e ngaahi lao mo e tuʻutuʻuni kehekehe ki he kakaí, ʻa e loto mamahí, faingataʻá mo e maté ʻi homau ngaahi fāmilí. ʻOku ʻikai ke toe kehe ʻemau moʻuí ʻamautolu.”6

Fakataha mo e lao fika ʻuluaki kuó u fakahokó, manatuʻi e lao fika uá mo e tolú: tui maʻu pē ha sāketi fakahaofi moʻui, pea piki ʻaki ho ongo nimá fakatouʻosi. ʻOku maʻu e ngaahi folofola ʻa e ʻEikí ʻi he folofolá mo e ngaahi akonaki ʻa e kau ʻaposetoló mo e palōfitá. ʻOku nau hoko ko ha faleʻi mo e fakahinohino, ʻi heʻetau muimui aí, ʻe hoko ia ko ha ngaahi sāketi fakahaofi moʻui pea te ne tokoniʻi kitautolu ke ʻilo e founga ke piki fakatouʻosi ʻaki hotau ongo nimá.

ʻOku fie maʻu ke tau hangē ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Mōsaiá ʻa ia ne nau “tupulaki ʻo mālohi ʻi he ʻiloʻi ʻo e moʻoní.” Te tau lava ke hoko ko ha kau tangata mo e kau fafine “faʻa fakakaukau lelei.” ʻE malava pē ʻeni ʻi heʻetau “fakatotolo faivelenga ʻi he ngaahi folofolá, koeʻuhí ke [tau] ʻiloʻi ʻa e folofola ʻa e ʻOtuá.”7

ʻI heʻetau fekumi he folofolá mo e ngaahi lea ʻa e kau ʻaposetolo mo e kau palōfitá, ʻoku totonu ke tau nofotaha ʻi hono ako, moʻui ʻaki pea ʻofa ʻi he tokāteline ʻo Kalaisí.

Tānaki atu ki hono fakatupulaki ʻo hono ʻulungaanga ʻaki e ako fakatāutaha e folofolá, ʻoku fie maʻu ke tau hangē ko e ngaahi foha ʻo Mosaiá pea “faʻa lotu mo ʻaukai lahi.”8

ʻI heʻeku ʻiloʻi e kakai ne ʻikai nofomaʻu ʻi he vaká pea ʻikai piki nima ua lolotonga e ngaahi ʻahiʻahí mo e faingataʻá pe ʻikai nofomaʻu ʻi he vaká lolotonga e taimi tofukií, kuó u mātā ha tokolahi ʻo kinautolu ne toʻo ʻenau tokangá mei he ngaahi moʻoni tefito ʻo e ongoongoleleí—ʻa e ʻuhinga ne nau kau ai ki he Siasí; ʻa e ʻuhinga ne nau kei mateaki kakato ai mo mālohi ʻi hono moʻui ʻaki e ngaahi tuʻunga moʻui ʻo e ongoongoleleí pea tāpuekina e niʻihi kehé ʻi he ngāue mateaki mo fakatapuí; pea mo e founga ʻo e hoko ʻa e Siasí ko “ha feituʻu ʻo e tanumaki mo e fakatupulaki fakalaumālie” ʻi heʻenau moʻuí.9

Naʻe akoʻi ʻe Siosefa Sāmita ʻa e moʻoni tefito ko ʻení: “Ko e ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni mahuʻinga ʻo ʻetau tui fakalotú ko e fakamoʻoni ʻa e kau ʻaposetoló mo e kau palōfitá kau kia Sīsū Kalaisí … ‘naʻá Ne pekia, telio, pea toe tuʻu ʻi he ʻaho hono tolú, pea hāʻele hake Ia ki he langí;’ pea ko e ngaahi meʻa kehe kotoa pē ko ha tānaki ia ki he ngaahi meʻá ni ʻa ia ʻoku kaunga ki heʻetau tui fakalotú.”10

Kapau ʻe nofotaha ʻetau tokangá ʻi he ʻEikí, kuo talaʻofa mai ha tāpuaki taʻe fakatataua: “Ko ia, kuo pau ke mou vivili atu ki muʻa ʻi he tui mālohi kia Kalaisi, pea maʻu ʻa e ʻamanaki ʻoku mālohi haohaoa, mo ha ʻofa ki he ʻOtuá mo e kakai fulipē. Ko ia, kapau te mou vilitaki atu, pea keinanga ʻi he folofola ʻa Kalaisí, pea kātaki ki he ngataʻangá, vakai, ʻoku folofola ʻe he Tamaí: Te mou maʻu ʻa e moʻui taʻengatá.”11

ʻI he taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻoku kamata ke nofotaha ʻa e Kāingalotu ʻo e Siasí mo e kau fiefanongo fakamātoató ʻi he “fakalahí” kae ʻikai ko e ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni mahuʻingá. Ko hono ʻahiʻahiʻi ia ʻe Sētane kitautolu ke tohoakiʻi ʻetau tokangá mei he pōpoaki faingofua mo mahino ʻo e ongoongolelei kuo fakafoki maí. ʻOku faʻa tukuange ʻe kinautolu kuo tohoakiʻi ʻenau tokangá ʻa hono maʻu ʻo e sākalamēnití ko ʻenau nofotaha, mo femoʻuekina ange ʻi he ngaahi polokalama mo e ngaahi akonaki ʻoku ʻikai fuʻu mahuʻingá.

Mahalo ʻe tokanga ʻa e niʻihi kehé ki he ngaahi fehuʻí mo e veiveiua ʻoku nau aʻusiá.

Kuo pau ke tau loto fiemālie ʻo hangē ko e akonaki ʻa Paulá “Mou fetoutou fefuaʻaki hoʻomou kavengá, pea fakamoʻoni ai ki he fono ʻa Kalaisí.”13
