Ko Ha Meʻaʻofa Tākiekina ʻA Ha Kiʻi Tamasiʻi

ʻE founga fēfē nai haʻatau akoʻi ʻetau fānaú ke nau tupeʻi atu ʻa e ngaahi fakatauele fakaemāmaní pea falala ki he Laumālié?

Naʻe kamata ke melemo ha tamai kei talavou. Naʻá ne ʻeveʻeva atu ʻi ha veʻe vai mo ʻene fānau ʻe toko ua, pea mo ʻene tamai ʻi he fonó. ʻI he taimi naʻe helaʻia ai e fānaú, naʻe fakakaukau e ongo tangatá ke na fafa e fānaú ʻo kakau ki he kauvai ʻe tahá.

Naʻe hā ngali faingofua—kae ngata ʻi he taimi naʻe kamata ke ongoʻi ai ʻe he tamaí ʻoku fusi hifo iá, pea kamata ke mamafa e meʻa kotoa pē. Naʻe tekeʻi hifo ia ʻe he vaí ki he takelé, pea kamata ke ne ilifia ʻaupito.

Naʻe ʻikai ongona hono leʻó ʻi heʻene ui tokoní; he naʻe mamaʻo ʻaupito ʻene tamai ʻi he fonó ke fai ha tokoni.

Meʻapango, ʻoku tau aʻusia kotoa pē ʻa e faʻahinga ongo ko ʻení ʻi heʻetau ʻi ha ngaahi tūkunga ʻoku tau fuʻu fie maʻu ai ha tokoni ke moʻui mo fakahaofi ʻa kinautolu ʻoku tau ʻofa aí.

ʻI heʻene ilifiá, naʻá ne fakatokangaʻi ʻoku fusi hifo ia ʻe hono sū kuo fonuhia he vaí. Lolotonga ʻene feinga ke maʻanú, naʻá ne kamata feinga ke vete hono sū mamafá. Ka naʻe hangē ʻoku maʻú pē ia. Naʻe fonu vai e meʻa haʻi suú, ʻo toe fuʻu maʻutangī ange.

Naʻe hangē ko ʻene feinga fakaʻosí pē ia, naʻá ne malava ke vete hono suú, pea faifai ʻo homo hifo e suú ki he takele ʻo e vaí. Naʻá ne kakau fakavavevave hake ki ʻolunga mo hono ʻōfefiné, he kuó ne tauʻatāina mei he kavenga naʻá ne fusi hifo ia ki laló. Naʻá ne malava ke kakau atu, ki he malu ʻo e kauvai ʻe tahá.

ʻOku ʻi ai e taimi ʻoku tau ʻongoʻi kotoa pē hangē te tau melemó. ʻE malava ke faingataʻa ʻa e moʻuí ni. ʻOku tau moʻui ʻi “ha māmani longoaʻa mo femoʻuekina. Kapau he ʻikai ke tau tokanga, ʻe hanga ʻe he ngaahi meʻa ʻo e māmani ko ʻení ʻo [fakamelemoʻi] e ngaahi meʻa ʻo e Laumālié.”1

ʻE anga fēfē haʻatau muimui ʻi he sīpinga ʻa e tamai ko ʻení ʻo huʻi atu e ngaahi kavenga ʻo e māmaní ʻoku tau fuesiá—koeʻuhi ke kei maʻanu pē ʻetau fānaú mo ʻetau ngaahi fakakaukau hohaʻá ʻi he fukahi vaí? ʻE founga fēfē haʻatau lava ʻo “siʻaki foki ʻa e meʻa mamafa kotoa pē” ʻo hangē ko e ekinaki ʻa Paulá?2 ʻE founga fēfē haʻatau teuteuʻi ʻetau fānaú ki he ʻaho ʻe ʻikai ke nau toe fakafalala ai kiate kitautolu mo ʻetau fakamoʻoní—ʻi he taimi te nau kakau ai ʻiate kinautolu peé?

ʻOku maʻu e talí ʻi heʻetau ʻiloʻi ʻa e tupuʻanga fakalangi ʻo e mālohi ko ʻení. Ko ha tupuʻanga ʻoku faʻa toʻo maʻamaʻa, ka ʻe malava ke ngāueʻaki fakaʻaho ia ke fakamaʻamaʻa ʻetau kavengá mo tākiekina ʻetau fānau pelé. Ko e tupuʻanga ko iá ʻa e meʻafoaki tākiekina ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní.

ʻE malava ke aʻusia ʻe he fānaú ʻa e papitasó ʻi he taʻu valú. ʻOku nau ako mo fakahoko ha fuakava mo e ʻOtuá. ʻOku ʻākilotoa kinautolu ʻe he niʻihi ʻoku nau ʻofaʻi kinautolú ʻi he taimi ʻoku fakauku ai kinautolu pea nau haʻu mei he vai papitaisó mo ha ongoʻi fiefia lahi. ʻOku nau maʻu leva ʻa e meʻafoaki fungani ʻo e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní, ko ha meʻafoaki te ne lava ʻo tākiekina maʻu pē kinautolu ʻi heʻenau moʻuí ki he tāpuaki ko iá.

Naʻe pehē ʻe ʻEletā Tēvita A. Petinā: “ʻOku ʻikai faʻa fakatokangaʻi hono mahuʻinga ʻo e [hilifakinimá] ko ʻene faingofuá.

Ko e ʻAʻahi ki he fānau ʻa e Kau Nīfaí

Naʻe fakahā mai ʻe he Fakamoʻuí ʻi he 3 Nīfaí 26, ʻa e tuʻunga fakalaumālie ʻoku lava ke maʻu ʻe he fānaú:

“Pea naʻá ne vete ange honau ʻeleló, pea naʻa nau lea ki heʻenau ngaahi tamaí ʻaki ʻa e ngaahi meʻa maʻongoʻonga mo fakaofo, ʻio ʻoku maʻongoʻonga ange ʻi he ngaahi meʻa kuó ne fakahā ki he kakaí. …”

“… Pea naʻa nau mamata mo fanongo ki he fānaú ni; ʻio, naʻa mo e fānau valevalé naʻa nau fakaava honau ngutú ʻo nau lea ʻaki ʻa e ngaahi meʻa fakaofo.”4

ʻI heʻetau hoko ko e mātuʻá, ʻoku tau fakatupulaki fēfē ʻa e tuʻunga fakalaumālie ʻo ʻetau fānaú? ʻE founga fēfē nai haʻatau akoʻi kinautolu ke nau tupeʻi atu ʻa e ngaahi fakatauele fakaemāmaní pea falala ki he Laumālié ʻi he taimi ʻoku ʻikai ke tau nofo fakataha ai mo kinautolú pea nau tuenoa ʻi he moana loloto ʻo ʻenau moʻuí?

Tuku muʻa ke u vahevahe atu ha ngaahi fakakaukau.

Ko e ʻuluakí, ʻe malava ke tau ʻai ke ʻiloʻi ʻe heʻetau fānaú ʻa e taimi ʻoku nau fakafanongo mo ongoʻi ai ʻa e Laumālié. Tuku muʻa ke tau toe foki ki he kuonga ʻo e Fuakava Motuʻá ke vakaiʻi e founga naʻe fai ai ʻeni ʻe ʻĪlai maʻa Sāmuelá.

Naʻe tuʻo ua e ongoʻi ʻe he talavou ko Sāmuelá ha leʻo peá ne lele kia ʻĪlai, ʻo pehē, “Ko au ʻeni.”

Naʻe tali ʻe ʻĪlai, “Naʻe ʻikai te u ui.”

Ka “naʻe ʻikai ʻilo ʻe Sāmuela [ʻa e ʻEikí], pea naʻe teʻeki ai fakahā ʻa e folofola [ʻa e ʻEikí] kiate ia.”

Naʻe toki ʻiloʻi ʻe ʻĪlai ʻi hono tuʻo tolú kuo ui ʻe he ʻEikí ʻa Sāmuela peá ne fakahā kia Sāmuela ke ne lea ʻo pehē, “ʻE [ʻEiki] ke ke folofola mai; he ʻoku ongoʻi ʻe hoʻo tamaioʻeikí.”5

Naʻe kamata ke ongoʻi, ʻiloʻi, pea mo fanongo ʻa Sāmuela ki he leʻo ʻo e ʻEikí. Ka naʻe ʻikai mahino ia ki he kiʻi tamasiʻí ni ka ne taʻe ʻoua e tokoni ʻa ʻĪlai ke ne ʻiloʻi aí. ʻE malava ke toe maheni ange ʻa Sāmuela, ʻi hono akoʻi iá, ke ne ʻiloʻi ʻa e kihiʻi leʻo siʻí.

Ko hono uá, ʻe malava ke tau teuteuʻi hotau ʻapí mo ʻetau fānaú ke nau ongoʻi ʻa e kihiʻi leʻo siʻí. “ʻOku tui e tokolahi ʻo e kau faiako ʻi he ngaahi lea mulí, ʻoku vave taha hono ako ʻe he fānaú ha lea fakafonua ʻi he ‘fanga kiʻi polokalama ʻi he lea fakafonua ko iá,’ ʻa ia ʻoku nau feohi ai mo e kakai ʻoku nau poto ʻi he lea ko iá, pea ʻoku tuku ke nau lea ʻaki ia ka nau fanongo ki aí. ʻOku ʻikai ngata ʻi heʻenau ako hono puʻaki e ngaahi foʻi leá, ka ke nau pōtoʻi ʻi he leá mo fakakaukau ʻi he lea foʻou ko iá. Ko e feituʻu lelei taha ke ngāueʻaki ai ʻa e founga ko ʻení ki ha ako fakalaumālie, ko ʻapi, ʻa ia ʻoku lava ke hoko ai ʻa e ngaahi tefitoʻi moʻoni fakalaumālié ko e makatuʻunga ʻo e moʻui fakaʻahó.”6

“Pea te ke faʻa ako ʻaki ia ki hoʻo fānaú, pea te ke talanoa ʻaki ia ʻoka ke ka nofo ʻi ho falé, pea ʻoka ke ka ʻalu ʻi he halá, pea ʻoka ke ka tokoto hifo, pea ʻoka ke ka tuʻu hake.”7 ʻI hono fakafonu e fāmilí ʻaki ʻa e Laumālié ʻe fakaava e loto ʻetau fānaú ki Hono mālohí.

Ko hono tolú, ʻe malava ke tau tokoniʻi ʻetau fānaú ke ʻiloʻi ʻa e founga ʻoku lea ai ʻa e Laumālié kiate kinautolú. “Kapau te Ne hāʻele mai ki ha kiʻi tamasiʻi, te Ne filioʻi ʻEne foungá ki he founga lea mo e meʻa ʻoku malava ʻe ha kiʻi tamasiʻí.”8 Naʻe ʻiloʻi ʻe ha faʻē ʻoku founga kehekehe ʻa e ako ʻa e fānaú—ʻoku nau ako ʻi he meʻa ʻoku nau mamata, fanongo, ala, pe ngāue ʻakí—ko e lahi ange ʻene siofi ʻene fānaú, ko e lahi ange ia ʻene fakatokangaʻi hono akoʻi kinautolu ʻe he Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní ʻi ha founga te nau ako lelei taha aí.9

Naʻe ʻi ai ha faʻē naʻá ne vahevahe ha aʻusia ʻi heʻene tokoniʻi ʻene fānaú ke nau ʻiloʻi ʻa e Laumālié. Naʻá ne pehē, “ʻI he taimi ʻe niʻihi ʻoku ʻikai ʻiloʻi ʻe he [fānaú] ko ha fakakaukau ʻoku toutou haʻu, ko ha ongoʻi nonga hili ʻenau tangí, pe ko e manatuʻi ha meʻa ʻi hono taimi totonú, ko e ngaahi founga kotoa ia ʻo e fetuʻutaki ʻa e Laumālie Māʻoniʻoní [mo kinautolú].” Naʻá ne hoko atu, “ʻOku ou akoʻi ʻeku fānaú ke nau nofotaha ʻi he meʻa ʻoku nau ongoʻí [pea ngāue ki ai].”10

ʻE hangē ko e lea ʻa ʻEletā Lisiate G. Sikotí: “[ʻI hoʻo maʻu ha aʻusia mo lavameʻa ʻi] hono tākiekina koe ʻe he Laumālié, ʻe toe pau ange ʻa e ngaahi ongo ʻokú ke maʻú, ʻi hoʻo fakafalala ki he meʻa ʻokú ke mamata mo fanongo pē ki aí.”11

ʻOku ʻikai fie maʻu ke tau manavahē ʻi heʻetau vakai ki he hū ʻetau fānaú ki he vai ʻo e moʻuí, he kuo tau tokoniʻi kinautolu ke huʻihuʻi atu ʻa e kavenga fakaemāmaní. Kuo tau akoʻi kinautolu ke moʻui ʻo fakatatau ki he meʻafoaki tākiekina ʻo e Laumālié. ʻE fakamaʻamaʻa ʻe he meʻafoaki ko ʻení ʻa e kavenga ʻoku nau fuesiá pea tataki kinautolu ki honau ʻapi fakalangí, ʻo kapau te nau moʻui ʻaki mo muimui ki heʻene ngaahi ueʻí. ʻI he huafa ʻo Sīsū Kalaisi, ʻēmeni.
