The women who witnessed the crucified Lord being laid in the sepulchre later came to anoint His body. The stone was rolled away from the entrance, and the Lord’s body was no longer there. They saw two men in shining raiment, who said, “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen.” (See Luke 23:55–24:6.)
