As Jesus prayed, the glory of God came upon Him, and His face shone like the sun. Two beings, Moses and Elias, appeared with Him. They talked with Him about His coming Crucifixion and Atonement. Matt. 17:2–3; Mark 9:3–4; Luke 9:29–31

When they awoke, they were able to see the glory of Jesus Christ, Moses, and Elias. They heard Heavenly Father’s voice testify, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Matt. 17:5; Mark 9:7; Luke 9:32, 35

The Apostles were afraid and fell on their faces. Jesus touched them and told them not to fear. When they looked up, Jesus was alone. He told them to tell no one about what they had seen until after He had died and been resurrected. Matt. 17:6–9; Mark 9:8–9
