Steep hills, narrow streets, and tram cars typify the center of Portugal’s capital. A branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized in Lisbon in 1975, and membership has grown ever since. Today, the Church in Portugal has:

• 45,600 members (approximately)

• 7 stakes, 1 district, 59 wards and branches, 1 mission

• 24 family history centers, 1 temple

We Build Family Love

In Vila Nova de Gaia, south of the city of Porto, Reginaldo Cruz and his family walk and talk together. “Just as you build a building one brick at a time,” Reginaldo says, “we build family love one step at a time.”
