How Has God’s Eternal Perspective Blessed Us?

Job

After gaining a better understanding of God’s power, Job realized his limited vision. He said, “Therefore have I uttered that I understood not” (Job 42:3). Like Job, we too may not always see what God sees for our lives. These three modern examples show how the Lord knows the trials we face and gives us guidance through His prophets. When have you seen the Lord’s perspective bless your own life?

Word of Wisdom

manuscript of revelation known as the Word of Wisdom

To help us avoid the negative effects of drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances, the Lord revealed the Word of Wisdom through Joseph Smith in 1833 (see Doctrine and Covenants 89).

Family Proclamation

family proclamation document

Knowing the struggles families would face, the Lord inspired living prophets and apostles to publish the family proclamation in 1995 (see “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” ChurchofJesusChrist.org). This is a Church standard to strengthen the family.
