Welcome to This Issue

Today Is the Day to Share the Savior’s Gospel

President Russell M. Nelson has declared, “There has never been a time in the history of the world when knowledge of our Savior is more personally vital and relevant to every human soul” (“Pure Truth, Pure Doctrine, and Pure Revelation,” Liahona, Nov. 2021, 6). This is why we accept the Savior’s invitation and command to share His gospel (see Matthew 28:19).

This is an important work we all can take part in. In this issue, Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles teaches that “opportunities are everywhere to help others come unto Christ by showing our love, sharing our beliefs, and inviting them to join with us to experience the joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ” (page 4).

We are grateful for every young man and young woman who serves a teaching or a service mission, but as I state in my article in this issue, “We need more, many more, on the front lines—an army of missionaries and members.”

“Today is the day,” I also share, “for us to show character and courage and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ” (page 40). As you study the missionary efforts of Ammon, Abish, and others in the Book of Mormon this month, I invite you to reflect on how you can share the joy of the Savior’s gospel with those around you.
