Did I keep my commitments?

Time:Set the timer to 20 minutes for this page only (not the whole Report section).

Read:Now, everyone stand up. We should try to keep all of our commitments. That is one of the key habits of self-reliant people. Let’s repeat our theme statements together:

Read:Let’s be seated.

Discuss:What did you learn as you kept your commitments this week? Do you need any help from the group?

My progress

Time:Set the timer to 15 minutes for this page only.

Read:Let’s report on our progress so far. This video will help us see how to do this.

“Reporting My Progress” (No video? Read page 92.)

Practice:Group members will now share their progress over the last few weeks. Read these instructions first.

  1. Take a minute on your own to think about your answers to the key questions below. The information should be in your workbooks from previous weeks.

  2. When everyone is ready, take turns presenting your answers to your action partner. Be sure to ask for feedback.

MY PROGRESS TOWARD EDUCATION FOR BETTER WORK

Why do I want to become more self-reliant?

What income do I need to earn to be self-reliant?

What type of future work have I chosen to earn that income?

What training or education do I need to qualify for my future work?

What school and program have I chosen? Why?

Do I know my education costs? How will I pay them? Work? Family? Loan?

Do I need to apply for a PEF loan to help pay those costs?

If so, have I found a mentor and contacted my priesthood leader?

If so, have I completed the loan application process?

Here is my biggest concern or question:

Any feedback or advice for me?
