Self-Reliance Specialists and Committees

EnglishConnect helps individuals increase spiritual and temporal self-reliance through developing English skills in an environment of faith, fellowship, and growth. Prayerfully consider who could benefit from participating as a specialist, teacher, or a learner.

You can adapt EnglishConnect to meet the needs of those you have been called to serve. Prayerfully consider the needs of those you serve as you complete the steps below.

Connecting Learners to EnglishConnect 3 Groups

EnglishConnect 3 helps learners develop intermediate English-language skills for both employment and educational opportunities—specifically BYU–Pathway Worldwide. Church-service missionaries facilitate EnglishConnect 3 groups.

There are two ways you can help learners access EnglishConnect 3:

  1. Help learners join an existing group. EnglishConnect 3 has groups in most areas of the world. You can help learners enroll in an EnglishConnect 3 group by guiding them through the application process at englishconnect.org/join. Refer learners with additional questions or enrollment issues to byupathway.org/help/contact-us.

  2. Offer an EnglishConnect 3 group. If you would like to start an EnglishConnect 3 group, email learn@englishconnect.org. A Church-service missionary will then contact you.
