What Do I Need to Do to Become a Member of the Church or Regain My Full Membership Status?
A great place to start is to contact your local bishop or branch president. (See Meetinghouse Locator.) Talk with your bishop about your membership status. Share with him your journey through incarceration, including your conversion to Jesus Christ and your hopes for the future. He will assist you in returning to the Church and continuing to progress spiritually. If you are not a member of the Church, the bishop will arrange for you to meet regularly with members and missionaries to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
