Can we hold separate meetings for teachers of adults, youth, and children?

Teachers of adults, youth, and children often have differing questions and needs. For this reason, Teaching in the Savior’s Way states: “If necessary, participants may be divided into groups according to the needs of those they teach. For example, teachers of youth or children may benefit from meeting separately on occasion to discuss issues specific to teaching youth or children” (page 39). However, there is also value in having teachers of different age-groups meet together as much as possible because this allows more teachers to learn from each other’s experiences. For example, helpful advice for a Primary teacher may come from a Sunday School teacher, who might draw on her experience as a mother or as a former Primary teacher.
