First Quorum of the Seventy

Elder W. Grant Bangerter, 66, has been called to the presidency of the First Quorum of the Seventy. At the time of his call, he was serving as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He is married to Geraldine Hamblin and has five sons and five daughters.

Elder Victor L. Brown, 70, has been called to be a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He was serving as the Presiding Bishop of the Church at the time of his call. He is married to Lois Kjar, and they are the parents of two daughters and three sons.

Elder Hans Benjamin Ringger, 59, of Birsfelden, Switzerland, has been called to be a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He is an electrical engineer, architect, and industrial designer. He is married to Helene Susy Zimmer, and they are the parents of three daughters and a son.

Elder H. Burke Peterson, 61, has been called to be a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. At the time of his call, he was serving as first counselor in the Presiding Bishopric. He is married to Brookie Cardon, and they are the parents of five daughters.

Elder J. Richard Clarke, 58, has been called to be a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He was serving as second counselor in the Presiding Bishopric at the time of his call. He is married to Barbara Jean Reed, and they are the parents of eight children.

Elder Waldo Pratt Call, Sr., 57, has been called to be a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He was serving as president of the Uruguay Montevideo Mission at the time of his call. He is married to Beverly Johnson, and they are the parents of three daughters and four sons.

Elder Helio da Rocha Camargo, 59, has been called to be a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He is a native of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is married to Nair Belmira de Gouvea, and they are the parents of one daughter and five sons.

Presiding Bishopric

Bishop Robert D. Hales, 52, the new Presiding Bishop, was serving as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy at the time of his call. He has served as a mission president in London. He is married to Mary Elene Crandall, and they have two sons.

Bishop Henry B. Eyring, 51, the first counselor in the Presiding Bishopric, was the Church Commissioner of Education at the time of his call. He is married to Kathleen Johnson, and they have four sons and two daughters.

Bishop Glenn L. Pace, 45, the second counselor in the Presiding Bishopric, was the managing director of Welfare Services at the time of his call. He is married to Jolene Clayson, and they are the parents of six children.
