Snails and Time
They say, “time flies,”
But it doesn’t really.
When I’m waiting for you,
It crawls.
Like a snail,
Making his way through
the tall grass,
Each blade an obstacle,
Seeming to halt its progress.
I want to climb into the clock
And jump on the hands
to hasten you forward.
Birds and planes fly,
But snails and time
Crawl.
