Never look at Christmas lights the same way again!

Here are three ways they can help us remember the Savior.

Whether it’s with candles or with strings of colored bulbs, many cultures celebrate the Christmas season with lights—which makes sense, because Jesus Christ lights our life in many ways! Here are three examples:

Christmas

1. He Guides Us
Sometimes people put a star on top of a Christmas tree. When Jesus was born, a new star appeared in the sky. This star guided the three wise men to Him.1

Christ is like our guiding star. He is guiding us to return to our heavenly home. We can choose to try and follow His example each day!

2. He Casts Out Darkness
Even the small flame of a candle can light up a dark room. In a similar way, Jesus Christ is more powerful than any evil or sadness.
When you’re surrounded by worldly influences, scared, or feeling down, make an extra effort to invite Christ into your life. His light can comfort you and help you see the way forward. 2

3. He Lights the World
Think about all of the different shapes, sizes, and colors of lights in the world. This diversity can remind us that Christ’s light is not limited to people of a certain nation, background, or culture. He is a light for everyone!3

Watch and Ponder

Watch the video above and think about how has Jesus Christ been a light in your life.
